The third conference of the Health Insurance Fund of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) presents professor Željko Mateljak as one of the presenters.
Mr. Mateljak is an expert in the field of business economics, with an impressive academic background. He completed his undergraduate studies in Business Economics at the Faculty of Economics, University of Split. He enrolled in postgraduate doctoral studies in Business Economics and successfully defended his doctoral dissertation, which led him to the title of Doctor of Economic Sciences.
Professor Mateljak has been working as an assistant at the Faculty of Economics, University of Split, at the Department of Management since 2007. Due to his outstanding contribution and expertise, in 2016 he was elected to the scientific-teaching title of assistant professor, and in 2021 he became an associate professor, all within the field of social sciences, the field of economics, the branch of Organization and Management.
He is not only an expert in his academic career, but is also active in the scientific community. He participated in many international and domestic scientific and professional meetings in the field of business management, including healthcare. He published a number of papers, independently and in co-authorship, and participated in numerous scientific and professional projects.
His role as the founder and leader of the university specialist study "Management of Health Organizations" at the Faculty of Economics and Medicine, University of Split, should be especially highlighted. He is also the president of the Croatian Association of Healthcare Managers, which is testimony to his commitment to the improvement of healthcare management in our community.
